Why a Print Publication?

More than 30 years ago, I subscribed to a humble print publication published by a young mother who wrote it to share about her daily life for the enjoyment and encouragement of others. I would run to the mailbox in eager anticipation whenever it arrived. I had never met the woman or her family. However, there was something about this sweet little magazine that made me feel as though I was visiting with a dear friend. I dreamed that one day I would be able to publish something that touched hearts in the way that her publication touched mine.

I truly believe that written words can bring hearts together in a way like nothing else. One postage stamp is all it takes to reach into someone’s life to bring encouragement, a smile, or a warm feeling.

Inside each edition of Letters from the Laughing Cabin, I’ll be including more than a few “extra goodies.” Think paper goods — like stationery, memo pads, note cards, bookmarks, stickers, art prints, and more!

The Book That Started it All

It was just a few years ago when God invited me on a life-changing faith journey. Little did I realize it would lead to writing a book! During the writing process, God placed a message in my heart for women — like me — who are crying out for a second chance to reconnect with Him and discover their authentic selves. God is inviting us to make a comeback. All He is asking for is our “yes!”

Renewed and Expanded Vision

The book is where it started, but God’s plans are bigger! Recently, God put it in my heart to create an online community where women over fifty can find ongoing connection, encouragement, and support, no matter where they are along their faith journey.

God has been doing a new thing regarding the direction and focus of this online community. Things are coming together, and our ongoing journey promises to be filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. For anyone new who is dropping in for the first time, please make yourself at home. I am SO excited that you’re here, and I look forward to what God will do in our lives as we continue to give Him our “yes.”
